Information

Clicking on the Information icon will invoke the information panel. The information panel has a single text-entry control and a large amount of static data about the currently connected radio.

The text control lets you enter any text that will help differentiate this radio from the others you deploy. For stationary radios, we recommend a short description of where the radio is located. For mobile radios, you might track what device will be attached to the radio or what equipment will have the radio installed in it.

This "location string" is kept only by the Radio Configuration Utility and is not actually uploaded into the radio itself.

The remainder of the information panels displays:

• The radio's model and output power level
• Serial number
• Firmware version
• Encryption signature
• Country code
• A list of restricted frequencies that the radio should not use
• Channel frequency assignments
• Jump table
• Timestamps for the last calibration and configuration
• Calibration information

Apart from the location string, you cannot change the radio's settings from the information panel.
